The Trade Mark e-Search functionality in the IP Online platform provide users with two basic (free) trade mark search options designed to support different search requirements and levels of access.



Basic (Free) Trade Marks Search (No Log in Required)

This option enables members of the public to perform a quick search of trade mark records at no cost without the need to create a customer account or logging in. Users can search for existing trade marks using keywords, or trade mark names, or a trade mark number and view the current information such as trade mark, application/registration number, status, owner details, and classification of good and services. This search option is ideal for preliminary checks and general enquiries regarding the availability of a trade mark



Basic (Free) Trade Marks Search (Log in Required)

This option provides clients with a CIPC customer account enhanced search capabilities and access to additional trade mark information. In addition to the basic trade mark details available to all users at no cost, authenticated users can view historical data such as status changes, registration history, ownership updates, and related transactions. Authenticated users are further able to access and download supporting documents associated with a trade mark record, including duplicate application forms, examination reports, registration certificates, renewal documents, and other trade mark related documents available electronically for public disclosure.
